The Full Moon in Scorpio reaches its peak on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 3:59pm EDT (12:59pm PDT). With this Full Moon we will also experience a partial lunar eclipse. The eclipse will intensify an already intense Full Moon.
The Full Moon illuminates the night sky, and highlight emotions that still need to be resolved. This is often reflected by other people’s action and behavior that invokes annoyance or anger. Instead of reaction consciously ask yourself, “What emotions, beliefs, or behavior do I still need to heal?”
The Full Moon in Scorpio is an ideal time to delve deep into the unconscious and how you relinquish or use your power. Look at what motivates your behavior and action. How does this relate to your sense of security on both a physical and emotional level? Are the old ways managing your power working for you? During the Scorpio Full Moon you can let go of the old (death) and rise from the ashes to create something new (rebirth). But in doing so it may feel like someone whacked you on top of the head with a dose of truth. Sometimes the truth hurts. But Scorpio helps us take responsibility for actions that stop you from getting what you want. You may not like what you see, but know that you are being guided for your highest good towards healing and spiritual evolution.
This Full Moon is a balancing act between content Taurus and ravenous Scorpio. Taurus’ energy deals with personal values, the material world, and security; while Scorpio rules transformation, change, destruction, and strips away what is false and corrupt. The foundation may be shaking as false beliefs and values are being destroyed bringing in purity, truth, and deepening our human experience. You’re being directed to resolve your shadow side and transform it into light.
Scorpio rules the 8th House of Death and Reincarnation. What a tremendous time to reinvent yourself! Look at deeply committed relationships and partnerships to see what areas still need tweaking. Issues related to trust and intimacy are likely to come up along with power dynamics.
Other areas related to the 8th House include joint funds and finances, personal resources, psychic interests, regeneration, and self-transformation. This is no easy Full Moon – it asks us to find the courage to face our truth. Only in seeing our truth can we truly change.
The time after the Full Moon is a good time for shedding and releasing. In honor of the Full Moon we are holding a Full Moon Healing conference call.
