Faith, Ego, and Inner Wisdom

During times of transition or change you may feel unsupported, isolated or alone. But we are never alone.

Our God, Creator, Universal Intelligence (or whatever you call your higher-self) is always with us. By asking for help in all areas of our lives, no matter how mundane or trivial the request seems, we open a connection into an invisible network of assistance.

By asking for help, we receive guidance, support, and doors that seemingly appeared locked, miraculously open for us. It requires faith, patience, and letting go of expectations or preconceived ideas of the outcome or timing. The more we learn to listen to our inner guidance and are obedient to our promptings the easier our life becomes.

“I found that whenever I have surrendered in obedience, impossible things have become simple.”
~ St. Teresa of Avila

Sometimes people get so caught up in their circumstances they fail to realize the more difficult things get the more God is prompting them to move past their fears instead of being the “victim” of them.

Many people resist or ignore the promptings of their inner guidance and are paralyzed by fear. Isn’t insanity doing the same thing, expecting different results? If you want something different, yes, you will need to do something different.

Doing something new requires us to take baby steps. Our higher self may ask us to shift the people we’re around, place we live or work, let go of patterns and emotions, or whatever is necessary to create different results. We must surrender our perception of how the process will unfold and embrace faith to truly take us closer to flow.

Flow is the serendipitous timing of everything perfectly synchronized. Flow happens when you obediently follow the promptings of your inner wisdom; discerning, or asking for clarity to ensure your higher-self is guiding you instead of the ego.

The ego is tricky and attempts to keep us locked in our old patterns and behaviors. It wants to take credit or be “right” to prove it’s important. As soon as we rationalizing or justifying what we think is the answer, the ego has taken over. The ego will always lead us astray and away from our Divine Intelligence. By asking for clarity in your decisions you’ll learn to distinguish between your ego and higher-self.

By simply asking if this approach is devised by the ego or a message from your inner wisdom, you’ll bring awareness and clarity to the situation. The more you ask, the less the ego is involved and the easier flow becomes.

Faith is learning to trust in your higher-self and stepping away from the ego. When you surrender to the guidance of your higher-self you life will flow smoothly because you’re in sync with your inner wisdom, providing true peace and joy.
