10.10.11 and 10.11.11
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation, Transmutation
The countdown begins as we approach two significant dates; 10.10.11 and 10.11.11. Numbers are a symbolic language through which our angels/guides communicate messages to us if we’re willing to listen and explore them. The numbers of a date work as a system and provide significant messages to assist us with our progress or understanding ourselves better.
For example, the numbers of a date are typically added together. The date 10.10.2011 would be reduced to a single number by adding all the digits together such as 1+0+1+0+2+0+1+1=6. The number 6 is a sacred number of communications, harmony, balance and love. According to Collette Baron-Reid the number 6 is the vibration of nurturing, artisitic, and humanitarianism.
The date 10.11.2011 would be reduced to the single number 7; 1+0+1+1+2+0+1+1=7. Seven is a divine number. Kryon claims the number 7 represents wholeness, perfection, and life learning. According to Colette Baron-Reid the number 7 is the vibration of silence, spirituality, scientific study, analysis, observation, and meditation.
In numerology you can also look at the number sequence without completely reducing it to a single digit when there are repeating numbers. In this case the number 10 reduces to a 1 because the zero is a placeholder (1+0=1) The number 1 represents “new beginnings, unity, and oneness.” Since the number 11 is a repeating number it isn’t reduced to a single digit. The number 11 represents “illumination.” It is a symbol of the path to the wisdom of Spirit. Collette Baron-Reid says, “Seeing the number sequence 11:11 or other versions of 11′s confirms our eternal connection to the Divine and invites us to pay attention to the synchronicities in our lives.”
The 10.10.11 date represents oneness, oneness, illumination and the 10.11.11 date represents oneness, illumination, illumination. These symbolic dates are an important portal in our progress and transformation. As we listen to the messages relayed these two dates we gain insight into areas of our lives that need our attention.
When seeing significant number sequences take note of what you’re thinking about or doing. There are websites that provides interpretations of number sequences and learning the symbolic messages will assist you in understanding the guidance you’re receiving from your guides/angels.
To interpret your messages:
1) Write down what you were doing or thinking when this experience happened
2) What intuitive feelings were/are you experiencing?
3) How does this relate to questions you’ve asked of your angels/guides or the Universe?
4) Can you track the number sequences to significant events in your life?
These two dates also are significant in the Mayan calendar. 10.10.11 representing the last day of the 6th night and 10.11.11 is the first day of the 7th day of the Mayan calendar.
This Ninth Wave of the Mayan calendar began on March 9, 2011 and ends on October 28, 2011. The calendar is broken down into 7 days and 6 nights each “day” and “night” lasts 18 of our 24-hour days. For example, day one began on March 9, 2011 and ended March 26, 2011 then night 1 began March 27, 2011 and ended April 13, 2011, etc. Finally the 7th day begins on 10.11.11 and ends 10.28.11.
This calendar cycle began with the planting of seedlings about eight months ago and ends with the plant bearing fruit which will be the cycle beginning next week. Have you felt the intensity and swings of the various transitions? For many it has felt like a rollercoaster of significant highs and lows bringing fears and unresolved emotions and patterns to the surface.
I find it interesting the last day of the 6th night ends on a number 6 date and the first day of the 7th day begins on a number 7 date. Coincidence? Perhaps, but how much in life is really random? When we learn to interpret the symbolic language of Spirit an entirely new world opens up for us. We understand “coincidences” as more than random occurrences and interact with energy on a different level.

New Moon in Libra 2011
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Jana Matthews, Manifesting, New Moon, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation, Transmutation
We usher in the New Moon in Libra on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 7:09am EDT (4:09am PDT). It’s the first new moon of fall and a time to gather the harvest of your hard work, acknowledging the wealth of balance, abundance, and joy.
The moon influences our emotions as well as the tides of the ocean. Around the New Moon our emotions influence us the least, contrasted to a Full Moon when our emotions are at their peak. Our emotions cloud our perceptions on a subconscious level, reflecting fears and doubts that limit what is manifested. But with each New Moon we have a few days where our emotions influence us less than any other time during the month providing clarity and freedom from emotional restraints.
Balance is the theme of this New Moon as it enters the astrological sign of Libra. With the busy summer months behind us, a sense of balance is restored as we get back into normal routines. It’s time to acknowledge areas of your life that are imbalanced, and with the support of Libra easily restore it.
Whether you’re seeing imbalance between your ego and intuition, male and female inner self or outer relationships, or the ego and intuition, Libra brings a sense of co-operation and harmony to life. We glean from Libra a sense of objectivity so we may view complex, highly emotionally charged situations with a balanced, detached approach. It’s a time to consider all options in a diplomatic way.
In honor of the New Moon we’ll be holding a FREE conference call on Monday September 26, 2011 at 9pm EDT (6pm PDT) where we’ll discuss the New Moon influences, manifesting, and visualize your goals with a guided imagery meditation. Click here to register, get conference call instructions, and a monthly reminder of upcoming New Moon calls.
Bring balance into your life with the New Moon in Libra and manifest your dreams and desires!

About 80-85% of our behavior, patterns, beliefs, emotions, and thoughts are on a subconscious level. It is this underlying programming that affects all aspects of our life.
There are various layers where this programming exists. Some of it was created during our formative childhood years. Sometimes the programming is passed down through our ancestors in our DNA. Some of our subconscious programming exists in the collective consciousness layers. And some programming is transferred from our other lifetimes through our soul.
No matter what layer the incorrect programming exists, there are techniques to resolve various issues that limit you. You have the power to shift what’s going on within you. Join the teleseminar “Living an Empowered Life”. This class provides information and healing techniques into healing emotional issues and core beliefs.
The 3-week teleseminar begins on Tuesday September 6, 2011 9pm EDT. You’ll discover unresolved emotional issues that influence your behavior and personality. We’ll take you through healing meditation techniques to resolve emotional wounding and break through programming learned during this lifetime or passed on to you through your ancestors and other lifetimes.

DNA Healing
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Ascension, DNA Healing, Inner Alchemy, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation, Transmutation
A single chair and pulpit sit on an empty stage before me. Excited for the event, I wait in anticipation for the speaker to begin. Finally the host gets on stage and announces today’s speaker, Lee Carroll who channels esoteric, new age information from an angelic energy called Kryon.
Lee has been channeling Kryon since 1989. He’s witty, making fun of “science versus spirituality” and how he got involved in the “fruit loops and wind chime” aspect of metaphysics and channeling. It wasn’t something that he choose to do, it choose him.
Inspired by Kryon’s channelings about DNA, I was checking out their website to purchase the newly released book“The Twelve Layers of DNA”. While poking around the website I decided to look at the seminar schedule only to discover they would be in Sacramento the next day (only 100 miles from me). My fascination with understanding and healing DNA led me to attend this event.
We all know that the DNA holds the blueprint to our genetic makeup. It tells our body to create cells with specific attributes from our biological parents, such as our eye color, hair color, height, and all other physical characteristics. Until recently science considered 97% of DNA to be “junk.” They didn’t know what it was or why it existed. Now they’re finding out the junk DNA is a library of information that we can tap into to change genetic traits, such as the predisposition of disease.
Most of the work I do involves changing a person’s DNA so the ancestral patterns are shifted and no longer affect my client or their future generations. It’s a unique concept that is sometimes difficult to comprehend with our third dimensional, linear brain. But we have the capacity to call forth different information in the DNA and create different results in the physical body. How can this be possible?
When a cell divides it looks to the DNA to determine what should be created. The cell holds a memory and intelligence (otherwise it couldn’t duplicate the same type of cell). In that split second before the cell divides it asks, “Do I create the same or something different?” Unless we tell the cell’s programming to change, it remains the same.
For example, a person with a damaged muscle from a sports injury will continue to produce damaged muscle cells because this is the most current blueprint. Have you heard of the term “spontaneous healing?” Doctors are baffled when a patient miraculously heals. This is an example of how quickly the cells can change when given the instructions to do so.
Within each of us is the power to change the programming, spontaneously heal, and create something different. This includes healing disease, injuries, emotional pain, and our ability to attract prosperity and love! We are the masters of our universe – and I’m talking about the universe within us!
We are living in a time where it is now possible to shift our DNA and reclaim the original blueprint available in the stem cells. It’s funny that about nine years ago stem cells made the news. I’ve been working with stem cells for about twelve years. Science has caught up with spirituality! But until science makes claims, many people are skeptical of the claims made by spiritual teachers and healers.
Lee confirmed all of this in his lecture. Studying DNA fascinates me because of the mounds of information that lie in this microscopic blueprint. We now can call forth skills and attributes from your ancestors as well as healing physical and emotional damage from your current lifetime.
We are here to learn to master ourselves. The only thing we can change in this world is ourselves, but once we change within, our outside world changes also. Healing the DNA holds the key to creating everything we desire. Essentially, our patterns, beliefs, and thoughts of scarcity, fear, self-worth, and allowing stop creation.
Imagine the possibilities of how your life could change by understanding how your DNA works. The possibilities are limitless! You can draw forth characteristics to enhance and improve every aspect of yourself.
It’s so cool to see the information available from many sources. In Kryon’s book there are references to medical doctors and scientists that are beginning to understand what we in the “spiritual community” have known for years! It’s exciting that these resources are opening the eyes of people who are ready to heal.

Full Moon in Cancer 2011
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting
The Full Moon in Cancer occurs on January 19, 2011 at 1:22 pm PST (4:22 EST).
The moon governs our emotions. The intensity of the full moon heightens our emotions. And our emotions fuel our manifesting.
The full moon in Cancer focuses on our sense of safety and nurturing ourselves and others; while the sun in Capricorn emphasizes taking care of fundamental tasks. It’s the time for balance between career, home, and family.
It’s a time of ending or completion of projects, relationships, or the old way of doing things. It’s a time for forgiveness or to let go of resentments that you’ve been harboring. It’s the perfect time for expansion of ordinary tasks while allowing space for surprising break-throughs.
This particular full moon also trines Jupiter, the planet of good fortune and progressive Uranus. These alignments remind us to move forward with the nudges we receive from the Universe instead of getting stuck in fears or old patterns.
The full moon heightens our emotions and you may feel very sensitive to just about everything and everyone. Be grateful and feel blessed for everything you have in your life.
During this time allow yourself to be nurtured and nurture others; allow yourself to be loved and love others; embrace your true feelings and acknowledge the feelings of others; and tie up loose ends.
This full moon in Cancer is a great time to do something nice for yourself – get a massage, take a relaxing bath, bring beauty into your home, or spend time in meditation – healing and releasing emotional wounds.

Manifesting and Healing with Dreams
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Inner Alchemy, Manifesting, Transformation
Our dream time is the perfect time to heal our emotional body and set our intentions for manifesting. The subconscious mind is uninhibited by the conscious mind and ego while we sleep, thus allowing us to heal and manifest.
Our healing and evolution depends upon our ability to let go of the past, the ego’s control, or figuring out all the details. Often time the ego’s strong need to control stops us from moving forward or manifesting. The ego fears change and the unknown, keeping us stuck in past patterns. But you can override this during sleep time.
Take advantage of your dream time by following these steps and you’ll create a better pathway to healing and manifesting.
1) As you are going to sleep take a couple of deep breaths to clear your mind and relax your body
2) Think about what you want to heal or manifest
3) Ask God, Divine Intelligence, to assist you as you sleep to heal or manifest
4) Think about what you are healing or manifesting
5) In the morning write down any dreams or insight that have messages to assist you in healing or manifesting
The song Silent Lucidity by Queensryche talks about dream control. These lyrics hold a powerful message of letting go and using dreams to create what you want:
If you open your mind for me,
you won’t rely on open eyes to see
The walls you built within
come tumbling down and
a new world will begin
Mastering the conscious mind and breaking down the barriers the ego created from our experiences and perceptions is the key to manifesting and healing. When we learn to look at things from a different perspective our results change.

Health Tip: Log Your Workouts
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Healthy, Wealthy & Wise Tips, Inner Alchemy, Manifesting, Transformation
As I’ve mentioned in a previous post, my goal is to release a pound of fat per week until the 15 pound goal is reached. As of January 1st I decided to track the calories I’ve worked off each day so I can track my progress better.
Since I didn’t quite reach my goal of releasing a pound a week over the past six weeks I’ve increased the number of calories I’m burning off each week from 2,100 to 3,000; that’s about 425 calories per workout.
To track my progress I created an excel spreadsheet to log my workouts showing the distance, calories, and amount of time worked out for each day.
For example:
Bike 15.1 miles; 316 calories; 47 minutes
Elliptical – 2.2 miles; 156 calories; 2.2 miles
Total calories 472
After week one I burned 1,985 calories from the stationary bike and 729 calories from the elliptical machine, for a grand total of 2,714 calories.
As a part of my warmup/cooldown I walk laps before and after the machines usually totally around a mile per day. This week I logged 6.5 miles. I also do a 10 minute abdominal workout 5 days a week and yoga 2-3 times per week. I don’t include the calories burned for these activities – it’s sort of the icing on the cake.
I’ve still maintained taking out 300 calories per day, 2,100 calories per week, of my dietary intake. So between the calories burned and reduced caloric intake I’ve dropped 1.2 pounds this week. Whooo hooo! I finally reached my goal of a pound per week – at least for this week.
It would be awesome if the weight management really followed our plan. Some days/weeks are going to be good and right on track while others will not. The key is to do something that will help you work through the rough spots and keep you motivated.
Setting up a log of my workouts was just what I needed to track and see my progress.
What are you doing to stay on track with your goals this year?

I’ve Cheated!
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Healthy, Wealthy & Wise Tips, Inner Alchemy, Manifesting, Transformation
I have a confession to make. I cheated on my New Year’s Resolution! What? Already? You’re only two days into the New Year! But it’s not what you think. I haven’t given up my goal, just began it before the New Year.
In November I went shopping for a new pair of pants. The ones in my closet felt a bit tight. I knew I had gained a few pounds. While trying on clothes I had to go up two sizes from what I have bought in the past. What?! You’ve got to be kidding me! This is ridiculous! When did this happen? They must be making clothes smaller these days, or so I justified.
But no, the scale confirmed that I had gained 15 pounds over the past four years. My weight was teetering between my two pregnancy weights. Oh, this can’t be good – I’m NOT pregnant!
It’s just absurd that this could happen to me! I was an athletic instructor for 13 years. At the peak of my career my body fat was 10.2% which is extremely low, even for men. I was a lean exercise machine. I know how to maintain my body weight.
Although we have an elliptical machine and weights at home which I was using three to four times a week, it obviously wasn’t working for me. In November there was a little internal dialogue, okay a thrashing to make a change. And change I did. I joined the local recreational center to shake up my work-out a bit, with the added benefit of changing my body.
My New Year’s goal to turn my six rolls into a six pack by releasing 15 pounds of body fat through exercise and eating better began in November. So I got a jump start on many of you who are just beginning your new weight management goals. But whether you begin today, a week from now, or a month from now, whatever you consciously and consistently work towards will be successful.
So in November I began a new workout routine. My goal is to release 1 pound a week. Doesn’t seem like much, right? But actually a pound of fat is 3500 calories. To achieve this I had to adjust my calories by 700 per day – either burning off more or taking in less.
I chose a combination of reducing the calories I ate and burning more off per day. To begin with I reduced my caloric intake by 250-300 per day and worked out 5 times per week at 250-300 calories per workout, for a change of 275×7= 1925 for food and 5×275 = 1375 for my workout, totalling 3300, just under the 3500 calories per week.
As my body was getting used to this new routine I gained 3 pounds. Yes, I know muscle weighs more that fat. But really, shouldn’t I be gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time?
For my mental sanity I decided to stay away from the scale for a while as my body was adjusting to the new routine. Five weeks into the new routine I began to notice my pants fit a bit better. So I stepped on the scale and it registered 6 pounds lighter than when I began.
Whoooo hooo! What a relief! For the last four years I have only seen the scale move in one direction. Now it was finally moving in the right direction! It really was working! Even during the holidays I was getting the results I wanted.
This week, begins my 8th week. During the Christmas break I gained two pounds back so my net effect is 4 pounds released. Although I haven’t reached my 1 pound per week goal yet, I’m so grateful for the four pounds that have left in 2010.
I’ve modified my original goal and have plans to shift my work-outs to permanently move the last 11 pounds out.
Every goal we set requires that we takes small steps to achieve it. For some reason, body fat seems to go on much easier than it takes to get it off. My original goals have changed since I began 8 weeks ago. Each couple of weeks I’ll adjust and shift work outs so my body is “surprised” by what it’s going through.
So whatever your weight management goals are for the year be patient with yourself. You can achieve it, but it takes time. It takes about three weeks for your body to adjust to the change. And in the 13 years I was an athletic instructor, week three is where most New Year’s resolutions were given up. People were frustrated because in that time frame they weren’t seeing results.
Making changes is about the transformation and journey instead of the destination.
2011 is the year of manifesting. How can I help you reach your goals this year? Join us for our monthly New Moon Manifesting conference call on Tuesday January 4, 2011 at 6pm PST (9pm EST). Click here to register.
