Cancer Full Moon – 2012
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Affirmations, Ascension, Full Moon, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation
The first Full Moon of the New Year highlights the opposition between Capricorn and Cancer on Monday January 9, 2012 at 2:32am ET (Jan 8th at 11:32pm PT). The Full Moon can be a time of inspiration and enlightenment, or a source of anxiety and fear.
The Capricorn – Cancer opposition is an interesting one. These two signs intensify the home, emotional intimacy, need for security, and building a solid foundation. Capricorn represents the patriarch, while Cancer represents the matriarch. Cancer moon “feels” what others need, and have a strong desire to fulfill it. The Capricorn masculine energy often overpowers the Cancer feminine moon because of the belief that all things masculine are more worthwhile than the feminine attributes. But this is shifting on a macro-cosmic and micro-cosmic level. So whether you’re male or female, learn to honor, embrace and integrate feminine characteristics.
This can be done by looking at what is happening around you and consciously nurture yourself and others in a new way. Ask your Creator when it’s time to step in and help, when to offer advice, or when it’s necessary to sit back and watch, allowing things to unfold. These are the characteristics of a great mother.
During this Full Moon, allow your artistic side to step forth and expand your creativity. Think outside the box. Do something out of character or eccentric. Try something new. Do something that shakes up the old routine to build a new foundation.
The Full Moon reveals our emotional character and deeper needs. Beliefs, emotions, and patterns that have been in the shadows are enlightened by the moons reflection. The moon also highlights security fears and compulsive reactions. Take note of what is still lurking in the shadows, and take steps towards confronting fears and resolving emotional distress.
On the lighter side, the moon also casts its glow upon viable paths for the future. An influx of ideas and inspiration may guide you upon a new course. Consciously integrate the subtle messages and suggestions from Spirit into your daily routine, creating a foundation that supports and sustains your growth.
Be receptive, honor your feelings, and tune into your dreams at this time. Now matter what changes you’re experiencing, stay positive by using affirmations to transmute old patterns into new ones.
Here are some suggestions for Cancer Full Moon Affirmations or use them as a foundation to create your own:
– I easily flow with change
– I faithfully follow my inner wisdom
– I lovingly nurture myself, my dreams, and my path
– I allow the love within my heart to easily flow and radiate in all direction and this love returns to me multiplied
– My foundation is strong and based in Universal Truth
Embrace changes as they come during the Cancer Full Moon and the rest of the year. What shows up for you around this time is a treasured gift for your growth and evolution.

New Year – New You in 2012
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Affirmations, Ascension, DNA Healing, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation, Transmutation
Wow, another year has flown by. As we embark on the New Year it’s time to reflect upon the old one and set intentions for the new. Every year brings new vibrations, new tendencies and desires.
In numerology, 2011 was the year of “duality illuminated.” The number 2011 is represented by 2=duality and 11=illumination. Many people were unaware of areas in their life where duality existed, and during the year, change was thrust upon them. This created frustration, disappointment, anger, and depression because illusions and unstable foundations were shattered to make room for truth.
During the year, many became aware where duality still existed in their lives and were able to transcend those “ah-ha” moments into healing opportunities. It was a year of breaking down barriers between the us and them mentality, male and female energy, fear and faith, or light and darkness to shift thoughts, emotions, patterns, and behaviors making room for balance and a foundation based on truth.
As with every year, 2012 bring with it a new vibration. In numerology 2012 is the vibration of 5 = 2+1+2. A five holds the vibration of change, adventure, freedom, versatility, curiosity, energetic, and resourceful. Sounds like we’re all in for a BIG adventure in 2012!
In a year of “change” you may be inspired to experience new relationships, new ideas, new contracts, new plans, new enterprises, more growth, more freedom, and more variety. Awareness of how you react to the “new” helps you embrace opportunities instead of shutting them out. When you experience fear towards change or something new, ask yourself, “What’s the worst possible thing that could happen if I do this?” or “What do I have to lose if I do this?” Change is necessary to our growth and evolution, so close your eyes and jump in to the deep end.
In addition to the generic energy of 2012, you can also determine your own “personal year number” to further tune in to the subtle energy of the New Year. For example, take your birth month, add your birth date, and the number 5 (2012) to get your personal year number. Use the number 1 for January, 2 for February, and so on. For example, if your birth date is January 17 add 1 (January) +17 (birth date) +5 (2012) = 1 + 17+ 5 = 23; reduce to a single digit 2+3 = 5.
If the first calculation is a repeating number such as 11, 22, or 33, then do not reduce to a single digit. For example, if your birth date is January 16, then your personal year number is 1 + 16 + 5 = 22. Repeating digits are master numbers and hold a special significance and are not reduced to a single digit.
Predicting 2012 with the Numerology Personal Year Number
Number 1 — New beginnings and more energy
Number 2 — Better relationships and teamwork
Number 3 — More creativity and inspiration
Number 4 — Discipline and opportunities
Number 5 — Unpredicted changes and more expression of personal freedom
Number 6 — Additional responsibility and more attention to domestic affairs
Number 7 — Contemplation and spiritual awareness
Number 8 — Respect and recognition
Number 9 — Transformation and humanitarianism
Recognize change is a big part of the equation this year. It is up to us to embrace change or resisted it. To help you stay on track with your New Year’s Resolutions, join us each month for the New Moon conference call. Click here to register.

Winter Solstice 2011
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Affirmations, Ascension, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Manifesting, New Moon, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation, Transmutation
The Winter Solstice occurs on December 22, 2011 at 12:30am EST (Dec 21st at 9:30pm PST). This is the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. The Winter Solstice is celebrated by many people around the world as it marks the sun’s return. The days get progressively longer until the Summer Solstice in June. It’s a seasonal shift everyone notices.
Emotions may be easily identified between now and the New Moon, which occurs on Saturday December 24, 2011. With the power of the sun and moon minimized, it’s an opportune time to go within; acknowledging the shadow side, and transforming any negativity into light. It’s a quiet, contemplative time where we each can descend into seeing the true image of ourselves and make changes to shift light within.
As we are engrossed in darkness, take time to embrace whatever emotions are surfacing. Focus on creating loving relationships with yourself and others. You may be acutely aware of what emotions and darkness still needs to be resolved, so use meditation, prayer, and/or affirmations to transmute any lower vibrating emotions into higher ones such as love, peace, and joy. Also, ask the Universe to provide you with unconditional love, validation, and support as you transition through the last days of the year.
Do something special to honor this day and yourself; set intentions for the New Year, express gratitude, or disengage from any turmoil by turning it over to the Universe. Use the time of the Winter Solstice and New Moon to resolve the past and prepare for a fabulous New Year!

11.11.11 and the Full Moon
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Ascension, Full Moon, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation, Transmutation
It’s a big week for potential transformations with the dates 11.10.11 and 11.11.11 as well as the Full Moon.
The 11.10.11 and 11.11.11 dates are significant in numerology. Numbers are symbols with subtle messages from our angels and guides. Each number holds a particular vibration. When looking at a date all the digits can be combined and reduced to a single digit; for example the date 11.10.11 is reduced to 1+1+1+0+2+0+1+1= 7. According to Collette Baron-Reid the number 7 holds the vibration of spirituality, observation, and meditation. Kryon states the number seven holds the vibration of wholeness, divinity, and perfection.
Typically repeating numbers such as 11 are called master numbers. Looking at the 11.10.11 date again the message would be 11 = illumination; 10 or 1= new beginnings; and 11 = illumination. We are living in a time where human consciousness is shifting at a phenomenal rate. With each change in consciousness we have opportunities for exponential growth. In this date the potential opportunities for new beginnings are flanked by divine light.
The date 11.11.11 represents illumination tripled! This date is a portal or gateway of Conscious Awakening of our soul’s purpose. As we resolve resistance, heal, and evolve, our bodies are able to hold and maintain more light, thus vibrating at higher rates. Since manifesting is based upon vibration, we attract similar people or situations that vibrate at our same rate. This is the foundation of the Law of Attraction; like attracts like. Through these shifts we are able to shed the old patterns and resistance that keeps us at lower vibrations, thus en-lightening the body, and attracting higher vibrations.
The date 11.11.11 also is represented by the number 8=1+1+1+1+2+0+1+1 which Collette describes as a symbol of power, strength, abundance, and a balance of energies; Kryon describes is as a symbol of manifesting and infinity. We are seeing signs of incorrect perceptions of power being stripped away. Money, dominance, and control have long been perceived as a way to be powerful, but these false paradigms are crumbling as the energy shifts towards our true power: unity, collaboration, and oneness. True power comes from one source: God (Universal Intelligence, Creator, Source, or whatever you choose). As we release the false perceptions we open up to receiving more.
As if the intensity of these two days isn’t enough, let’s stir the pot with the emotional force of the Full Moon in Taurus. For many the full moon may drudge up intense fears and anxiety as one may feel out of control. The human condition has adapted to being in control. It takes work/practice to shift the ego’s desire to control everything and leap forward in faith knowing a higher power is assisting you. The Taurus Full Moon energy deals with personal values, the material world, and security while Scorpio rules transformation, change, and destruction. The foundation you thought was secure may be shaking at this time as false beliefs and values are being destroyed bringing in purity, truth, and deepening our human experience.
The moon reaches its peak on Thursday 11.10.11 at 3:18pm EDT (12:18pm PDT). The Full Moon illuminates the night sky and our emotions. So another layer of illumination is added to an already heightened time. Be aware of what emotions are coming up for you. Your Higher-Self is bringing to light what emotions and resistance need to be resolved within you. Instead of reacting to the emotions, take a deep breath and ask yourself,
“What am I feeling?”
“What do I need to understand and/or resolve?”
When paying attention to the messages brought up, you can consciously transmute the old pattern to what you want. Here are a couple of exercises to help through these transitions:
1) Take time to write down the emotions and messages to help organize your thoughts and attract solutions
2) Visualize the old thoughts, emotions, or patterns leaving your body and replace them with what is wanted. For example, if you react in anger, visualize all anger leaving your body and replace it with peace or love.
3) Transmute thoughts and emotions by using affirmations
4) Express gratitude for what is being brought up to help resolve it
11.11.11 and Full Moon Affirmations:
I easily let go security and embrace uncertainty
I easily resolve anger and frustration; responding with love and kindness
I listen and follow my inner guidance
I am divinely guided and led
I am Illuminated
We are being bathed in divine light for the next several days. Take time on 11.10.11 and 11.11.11 to let go of any darkness, heaviness, or burdens by turning them over to your Creator. Visualize a golden-white light coming into your physical body through the crown of your head and illuminating every cell within you. Through this practice you are bringing more light to yourself and the world.

New Moon in Leo 2011
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Jana Matthews, Manifesting, New Moon, New Moon Manifesting
The New Moon in Leo begins on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 2:40 pm EDT (11:40 am PDT).
With this New Moon we are influenced by the fiery sign of Leo. It is ruled by the largest celestial body, the sun. So it’s no wonder that Leo’s have a strong desire to take center stage. This cycle is all about “the self” and is influenced by Leo’s attributes of leadership, hard work, generosity, creativity, adventure, and ceaseless energy. This is the perfect time to breathe new life into existing goals and evaluate your progress.
Self-expression is a big part of the Leo characteristics. How can you best express your talents? Leo supports us as we build self-confidence and discover hidden talents and dreams. Allow the inner-child to step forward and embrace the playful nature of Leo. Use the passion of Leo to follow your dreams, create new relationships or rejuvenate existing ones.
With this fiery sign we have a great opportunity to make big changes that will last beyond this lunar cycle. Let go of the schedules and time-lines, allowing this creative, playful energy to enhance your goals by bringing in new inspiration. Collectively we humans are primed for big changes, so watch any fears or doubts that surface. They are keeping you stuck in old patterns instead of creating the break-through moments that create a new path.
The New Moon is the time for new beginnings, a clean slate, planting new seeds, and is the perfect time to revisit existing goals or beginning new ones. This Leo New Moon is intense compared to the flowing energy of the Cancer cycle we’re just leaving. You may experience a new found strength that fuels your progress. It may just be the boost of energy you’ve been waiting for.
What do you want to create? Where is your attention focused? What specific situations are coming up that need your consideration? These are the questions you should be asking yourself over the next couple of days as you prepare for the New Moon. Although you may have one agenda, your Higher-Self may be bringing up what you actually need to face.
In honor of the New Moon we will be holding a live conference call on Thursday July 28, 2011 at 9pm EDT (6pm PDT) where we will discuss the energy of this new moon, ideas for setting and manifesting your goals, and a guided imagery meditation to assist you in releasing the old and integrating the new. Click here to register for the FREE conference call.
Use Leo’s center stage and manifest more by using the power of the upcoming New Moon and create what you want in the coming lunar cycle.

DNA Healing
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Ascension, DNA Healing, Inner Alchemy, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation, Transmutation
A single chair and pulpit sit on an empty stage before me. Excited for the event, I wait in anticipation for the speaker to begin. Finally the host gets on stage and announces today’s speaker, Lee Carroll who channels esoteric, new age information from an angelic energy called Kryon.
Lee has been channeling Kryon since 1989. He’s witty, making fun of “science versus spirituality” and how he got involved in the “fruit loops and wind chime” aspect of metaphysics and channeling. It wasn’t something that he choose to do, it choose him.
Inspired by Kryon’s channelings about DNA, I was checking out their website to purchase the newly released book“The Twelve Layers of DNA”. While poking around the website I decided to look at the seminar schedule only to discover they would be in Sacramento the next day (only 100 miles from me). My fascination with understanding and healing DNA led me to attend this event.
We all know that the DNA holds the blueprint to our genetic makeup. It tells our body to create cells with specific attributes from our biological parents, such as our eye color, hair color, height, and all other physical characteristics. Until recently science considered 97% of DNA to be “junk.” They didn’t know what it was or why it existed. Now they’re finding out the junk DNA is a library of information that we can tap into to change genetic traits, such as the predisposition of disease.
Most of the work I do involves changing a person’s DNA so the ancestral patterns are shifted and no longer affect my client or their future generations. It’s a unique concept that is sometimes difficult to comprehend with our third dimensional, linear brain. But we have the capacity to call forth different information in the DNA and create different results in the physical body. How can this be possible?
When a cell divides it looks to the DNA to determine what should be created. The cell holds a memory and intelligence (otherwise it couldn’t duplicate the same type of cell). In that split second before the cell divides it asks, “Do I create the same or something different?” Unless we tell the cell’s programming to change, it remains the same.
For example, a person with a damaged muscle from a sports injury will continue to produce damaged muscle cells because this is the most current blueprint. Have you heard of the term “spontaneous healing?” Doctors are baffled when a patient miraculously heals. This is an example of how quickly the cells can change when given the instructions to do so.
Within each of us is the power to change the programming, spontaneously heal, and create something different. This includes healing disease, injuries, emotional pain, and our ability to attract prosperity and love! We are the masters of our universe – and I’m talking about the universe within us!
We are living in a time where it is now possible to shift our DNA and reclaim the original blueprint available in the stem cells. It’s funny that about nine years ago stem cells made the news. I’ve been working with stem cells for about twelve years. Science has caught up with spirituality! But until science makes claims, many people are skeptical of the claims made by spiritual teachers and healers.
Lee confirmed all of this in his lecture. Studying DNA fascinates me because of the mounds of information that lie in this microscopic blueprint. We now can call forth skills and attributes from your ancestors as well as healing physical and emotional damage from your current lifetime.
We are here to learn to master ourselves. The only thing we can change in this world is ourselves, but once we change within, our outside world changes also. Healing the DNA holds the key to creating everything we desire. Essentially, our patterns, beliefs, and thoughts of scarcity, fear, self-worth, and allowing stop creation.
Imagine the possibilities of how your life could change by understanding how your DNA works. The possibilities are limitless! You can draw forth characteristics to enhance and improve every aspect of yourself.
It’s so cool to see the information available from many sources. In Kryon’s book there are references to medical doctors and scientists that are beginning to understand what we in the “spiritual community” have known for years! It’s exciting that these resources are opening the eyes of people who are ready to heal.
