Full Moon in Sagittarius – 2013
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Affirmations, Ascension, DNA Healing, Emotional Healing, Empowerment, Essential Oils, Full Moon, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Law of Attraction, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation
There is a steady increase in intensity this week as we approach the Full Moon in Sagittarius and Lunar Eclipse on May 25,2013 at 12:25am EDT (May 24th at 9:25pm PDT). A Lunar Eclipse is a more potent Full Moon, and its effects tend to last longer. Some say the influence of a Lunar Eclipse may last approximately three to six months.
Lunar Eclipses are about relationships and polarities. The Gemini-Sagittarius mental axis is a dance between the “lower” mind and the “higher” mind. Gemini encourages us to open up to new experiences; it is linked to curiosity and logical thinking. Sagittarius rules ideology, and a quest for meaning. This axis is a balance between knowledge and learning.
Lunar Eclipses are meant to close chapters in our lives. It’s a time of letting go of habits, patterns, and people that have lost their usefulness. Letting go can be challenging. Many people resist change. It’s easier to manage change if we choose it, versus having it forced upon us. But when we are unwilling to let go, the Universe sometimes has to push us out of the nest, helping transitions take place.
During this Full Moon watch any resistance (fears) you have towards issues that are coming up. Take time to write out why you are fearful about situations and issues. Journaling your fears is a great way of facing them. In doing so the conscious mind can see the fears are unwarranted. But until you look at it, fears will cloud your perceptions.
The Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon are in the visionary Sagittarius. Sagittarius rules the 9th House – the House of Philosophy. It governs foreign travel, culture, long distance journeys, knowledge, expansion through experience, and higher education.
Stretch the imagination and think BIG with this Full Moon. It has the potential to push the envelope of your beliefs, feelings, philosophical perspectives and religious viewpoints. With the old filters removed there is the possibility to expand your window on the world. This is especially important for projects that have been in the works. Things may feel like they are suddenly coming together or you see options that were determinable before. Watch any tendencies to over-think or figuring the details out (Gemini); simply go with the flow. Overtime it will all work out in the right time frame.
This is a tricky lunation, on the one hand it inspires imagination and intuition but may lead to unrealistic expectations or unfounded hopes. Support the process by practicing grounding techniques such as walking barefoot in the grass, hiking in nature, or visualizing roots extending from your feet into the earth.
In honor of the Full Moon we are holding a Full Moon Healing conference call on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 9pm EDT (6pm PST). Click here to register. Suggested class donation $25. Can’t join us live? The call will be recorded and a link sent to you to listen at your convenience.

New Moon in Taurus – 2013

The old saying April showers brings May flowers rings true for the Taurus New Moon on May 9, 2013 at 7:31pm EDT (4:31pm PDT). Just like the landscape in the spring changes, the New Moon in Taurus brings the excitement of change. With two eclipses this month there is a big opportunity for transformation. Flowers (opportunities) may be popping up all around you.
The New Moon is the point when there is no visible light reflected from the moon. The moon reflects our emotions back to us. Therefore, the time around the New Moon, emotions are typically more calm; making it a prime time to listen to our heart and hear our soul’s desires. It’s a time of dreaming and imagining what life could be like. The seeds of our dreams are planted in the mind and projected into the cosmos to support us. Our job is to keep the dream alive and allow the Universe to support us. We just need to keep the dream alive by providing fertile soil (physical support), nutrients (love), sunshine (faith) and water (emotional support) to our seedlings (dreams).
The solar eclipse intensifies the attributes of the New Moon in Taurus and solar eclipse on May 9th. Eclipses speed up life, throw curve balls, and force us adapt. With the eclipses this month you may see options with your goals that seemed impossible just a few months ago.
Taurus’ earthy energy focuses on the senses. If the senses are satisfied, everything else takes care of itself. You may be attracted to material things, but look at how the pleasure it brings your senses. Taurus enjoys comfortable living and work spaces; along with fine food, clothes, and music. What senses are driving you this new moon? Are you looking for a new home or office? The New Moon in Taurus is a great time to start the process – or at least plant seeds.
Taurus rules the 2nd House – The House of Value. This includes physical possessions, things of substance, growth, money, belongings, and self-worth. Think of things that you value, including your own values, this is the Second House. It’s a great time to evaluate where you derive your self-worth from. You are not your job, or title, or money. These are all false perceptions. Look at what fears or insecurities lie beneath your sense of worth to determine what you can release; replacing with self-empowered beliefs that you are a Divine Being with a powerful life’s purpose. You may not have a clue of what that is, but let go of the definitions and allow your Creator to help you understand it.
Taurus, to me, rules the space between the first and second Chakras. The root Chakra is our connection to our tribe, family, and community. It is where we define ourselves as a group. The second Chakra is where we begin to step outside the group and become an individual. Look at how do you identify yourself with the group? What role do you play? How do you identify yourself separate from the group? Is this your creation or imposed on you by the group?
It’s an interesting exercise to determine the roles you’ve fallen into versus ones that you have consciously created. This Taurus New Moon may help you discover what you value and help you re-define yourself. Granted it doesn’t happen overnight. But planting seeds with the New Moon is a start.
Join us in honoring the New Moon in Taurus for a live conference call on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 9pm EST (6pm PST). During the call we will talk more about the New Moon, ways to enhance the manifesting process, answer any questions you have about manifesting, and provide a guided imagery meditation to integrate your goals into the subconscious. New Moon in Pisces – March 2013
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Affirmations, Ascension, DNA Healing, Emotional Healing, Empowerment, Essential Oils, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Law of Attraction, Manifesting, New Moon, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation
The New Moon in Pisces on March 11, 2013 at 2:54pm EDT (11:54am PDT) opens the door to deep healing. The Pisces energy is sensitive, dreamy, imaginative, and spiritual in nature. It’s a time to let go of control, so you dream and embrace the fluidity of life.
In Pisces there is the opportunity to surrender the ego and allow your Higher Self to guide you. Your soul knows the plan, you just need to step aside and let the magic to happen.
This is the last New Moon of the astrological calendar. As with any end, it’s a time of introspection, rest, and review. It’s important to wind down before the coming of Spring, preparing for new growth and openings.
Pisces rules the Twelfth House, The House of Self-Undoing. In this house you see self-defeating behaviors and limitations that create inner prisons. At this time there is a profound opportunity for growth with the support of the Sun, Moon, Neptune, Mercury, Venus, Chiron, and Mars all in Pisces. You may see behaviors, patterns, or your shadow-side that have been wreaking havoc on your ability to manifest.
Be open to possibilities, keeping yourself clear of tendencies for denial. Set goals during this time related to healing the dark side, seeing your “truth,” and embracing your divinity. Ask for assistance and clarity in understanding these hidden areas of your psyche that need healing. Be gentle, loving, and kind to yourself as these behaviors and patterns are revealed.
Pisces also is associated with the Crown Chakra due to its connection to mysticism and spirituality. Through the deep healing energy of this cycle, the lotus flower can blossom, opening up greater insight and intuition. The Crown Chakra governs the central nervous system (communication within the body) and the pineal gland (communication with Creator). When the Crown Chakra is imbalanced one may feel disconnected, experience headaches, feel faithless, apathetic, confused and/or overly intellectual.
Through mediation and other grounding techniques you can overcome these issues creating balance, awareness, connection, understanding, wisdom, and bliss. To restore balance within the Crown Chakra use essential oils such as Lavender, Ylang-Ylang, Melissa, Tangerine, and/or Sandalwood.
In honor of the New Moon in Pisces we will be holding a FREE live conference call (long distance charges apply) on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 9 pm EDT (6 pm PDT). During the call we will talk more about the Pisces New Moon, discuss ways to enhance the manifesting process, and provide a guided imagery meditation to integrate your goals into the subconscious. To register for the call click here.
Use the deep healing power of the Pisces New Moon to help you break through your limitations. The focus of this lunar cycle is to on healing, resting and dreaming, gearing up for the action oriented Aries New Moon.

Winter Solstice 2012
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under DNA Healing, Emotional Healing, Empowerment, Essential Oils, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Law of Attraction, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation
The Winter Solstice on 12.21.12 (in the Northern Hemisphere) is a significant celestial event as it marks the return of more sunlight into each day. For centuries, cultures around the world have been celebrating the Winter Solstice with festivals that honor light.
The 12.21.12 date has long been earmarked as significant date. We have heard it all, from apocalyptic, catastrophic events to a galactic alignment and balance. Which perspective you are leaning towards?
We live in an amazing, yet difficult time. There are unbelievable pressures placed upon us through our own decisions or the decisions of others. But these changes are necessary, as we are in the midst of necessary inner shifts, which bring about changes in the outer world. With these changes it is sometimes difficult to maintain a healthy perspective.
Before we turn the cosmic wheel into another New Year, take time this week for reflection of this powerful “year of change.” What lessons have your learned? What lessons will you carry forward to 2013? What attachments can you release? Where can you love more and fear less?
There is a recurring theme of light and dark that occurs on a physical and symbolic level. For centuries there has been an imbalance between light and darkness. Light is symbolized by love, while darkness is fear. We have a beautiful gift called free agency and always have a choice in everything. But with our choices there are also consequences.
Fear is a powerful force. When we have doubtful and fearful thoughts, everything around us contracts. Doubts become amplified and fear feeds them creating a vicious cycle. As we focus on what we fear, we amplify attracting more experiences where we feel fearful.
How do you dispel fear? By bringing in light. Stand in a dark room and light a candle. As soon as the candle is lit the darkness no longer exists. Light is hope. Light is love. Light is a powerful force, that when chosen consciously, will illuminate everything. With love everything expands.
Each of us carries a light within us. We have a choice to honor and enhance our light by choosing love. We also have the choice to feed our fears. It is up to each of us to choose our intention. Through conscious choices you can enhance your ability to hold more light by practicing love.
Love is the most powerful energy we have. It is something that radiates from within us, and affects all of those around us. It is easy to become imbalanced and only project love to those who show us kindness. But this isn’t true love. Love doesn’t judge, have attachments, or conditions; it simply exists.
As we prepare for the Winter Solstice practice bringing to love and light to those who cause you pain. The light will dispel the darkness and shift the relationship. Begin bringing in more light into your physical body by envisioning sunlight entering the crown of your head and filling your heart. Allow the energy to consume every cell of your body and expand beyond your physical body. This practice creates momentum for the Solstice and the coming year.
This Solstice we want to add to your light by giving away a Winter Solstice gift set. The gift includes DoTerra’s 5ml Citrus Bliss essential oil, a Citrus Bliss bath bar, and Citrus Bliss lotion. The certified therapeutic essential oils DoTerra provides an amazing vibration that helps your physical body resolve emotional wounding and heal.
Citrus Bliss contains wild orange, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin, bergamot, tangerine, clementine, and vanilla bean extract. It’s a great blend for bringing balance to second and third chakras; restoring creativity and motivation. It’s sunny vibration enhances self-worth and self-expression.
Click here for the Winter Solstice Giveaway or for more information about DoTerra essential oils click here.
Choose to bring in more light for yourself and others during the Winter Solstice on 12.21.12 (6:12am EDT 3:12am PDT). Dispel darkness and fear by creating some sort of “light” ritual by lighting candles, building a fire, or envisioning sunlight coming into your heart; asking your Creator for peace, love, and joy in your world!
Happy Holidays from the New Moon Manifesting Staff!

The New Moon in Sagittarius invites honesty and truth into the picture. New Moon September 2012 – Virgo
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Affirmations, Emotional Healing, Empowerment, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Law of Attraction, Manifesting, New Moon, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation
Do you feel the stillness of the night sky? Emotions are calmed as we enter another New Moon phase on September 15, 2012. The New Moon enters the astrological sign of Virgo and brings with it a return to your roots and building a strong foundation.
Virgo brings an air of reliability. You may feel more grounded with this New Moon because of the strong earth energy Virgo brings. She also brings strong analytical and observation skills to the table. This is helpful with goals that need attention to details, practicality, independence, and logic.
The Virgo energy is also helpful and loving. You may easily find diplomatic new solutions to ongoing issues at this time. Be creative and inspired by the simplicity of the down-to-earth support you’re receiving.
Virgo rules the 6th House – the House of Health. It a great time to pay attention to the messages from your body and set appropriate goals to eat better, exercise, drink plenty of water, meditate, or other activities that support your health. Make appointments for routine check-ups, get a massage, visit a holistic practitioner, and join our Chakra Balancing and Emotional Healing class. Support your beautiful body and all it does for you by taking responsibility for your health!
The 6th House also emphasizes performing service for others, acquiring new skills, expansion of employment or job, or taking care of routine tasks and duties. Expansion is good as long as your cup is full. Watch tendencies you may have toward over-extending yourself and becoming depleted. Virgo reminds you to be grounded and take care of yourself; spend time this week evaluating areas of your personal power that need support or rebuilding. By creating a strong foundation and belief in yourself you’ll more easily assist others on their journey.
Virgo also rules the 3rd chakra – the solar plexus. This is your personal power center and located below the ribcage, around the navel. It is the center of self-confidence, power, and charisma. Support this aspect of yourself by taking better care of your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. Ask yourself, “What do I need to feel peace, happy, balance, etc.?” During this New Moon find ways to resolve self-doubt and destructive behavior that sabotages your progress by using affirmations that support self-love.
Affirmation suggestions:
“I love and accept myself”
“I trust the process of life to be there for me.”
“I am the living, loving, and joyous expression of life.”
“I accept my own power.”
“I am the essence of my Creator”
“I am the divine connection between heaven and earth”
“I am loved”
The New Moon is an introspective time where it’s easier to go within to discover the true you; what are your hopes, dreams, passions, and desires. The pull of the tides are lower causing the pull of emotions to be diminished. Using new moon rituals such as setting your intentions and meditating on them helps you remove old patterns and create new ones. What is important is that you’re creating a ritual and committing to your vision, and opening to receive guidance, healing, and support from your Creator. The Moon assists you in healing your emotions, use its power to resolve emotional wounds and begin attracting what you want.
Join us in honoring the charismatic New Moon in Virgo for a live FREE conference call on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 9pm EDT (6pm PDT). Full Moon – August 31 2012
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Affirmations, Ascension, DNA Healing, Emotional Healing, Empowerment, Essential Oils, Full Moon, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Law of Attraction, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation, Transmutation
During August 2012 we experience a unique event with two Full Moons. The first full moon occurred on August 1st, with the second is happening on August 31st. When this occurs the second one is called a “blue moon.” The blue moon name does not mean the moon has a blue hue, it is simply a term used when two full moons occur during a calendar month. The next blue moon occurs in July 2015.
The exact time of the Full Moon is on August 31, 2012 at 9:58am EDT (6:58am PDT). It moves into the astrological sign of Pisces. Emotional wounds may weigh you down during this “Blue Moon” because Pisces is prone to feeling victimized. This moon is conjunct Chiron, which represents the ” original wound” and Neptune, which tends to cloud issues. You may feel like you’re caught in a maze and don’t know which way to turn.
Pisces also rules the 12th House – The House of Self-Imprisonment. This could be a very interesting time. For those of you who are doing the healing work, it will be a great time of releasing ties to your original wound, old emotions, and self-imposed limitations. Generally Pisces brings an element of elusiveness and secrets. This will be further clouded by Neptune’s presence. Be cautious to make rash decisions, because things may not be as they seem. It’s a great moon to go into the depths of your soul and fish around for emotions fragmentation and spiritual distress that have occurred in this and other lifetimes.
For those who are avoiding healing work, it may be thrust upon you with the Full Moon. Keep in mind when going through transitions, either chosen by you or by others, you’re attitude towards the change determines the outcome. You can choose to go through situations with anger, strife, and stress, or see the opportunity for healing, growth, and gratitude.
During any Full Moon emotions are brought to light by the reflection of the illuminated moon. Using this time to release unresolved emotions is a sure-fire way to enhance your ability to manifest. We are emotional beings and need to learn how to process the “energy in motion” (E-motion) that has become stagnant or stuck in the body. Once the e-motions have been resolved you feel lighter, more energetic, free, and you’re able to hold more light.
Creating a ritual around the Full Moon is a great way to progressively heal. By following the same practice each month, you’ll create a rhythm and flow with the healing process. Here are some suggestions for Full Moon healing:
1) A few days prior to the Full Moon take note of recurring emotions or experiences
2) Identify specific emotions through journaling and introspection
3) Make a list of emotions you want to release
4) Make a list of emotions you want to replace them with
5) Bless the list calling in your Creator, guides, angels, ancestors, and anyone else that is here for your highest healing
6) Create a burning ceremony using the fire to release the emotions into the Universe and replacing them with the new ones
7) See yourself letting go of the emotions that you’re releasing
8) Shift old patterns through affirmations when you catch yourself responding to the patterns
8) Express gratitude for support and validation during your transitions
Healing is your responsibility. Instead of avoiding it, take charge and face the fears that hold you back from leading an Empowered Life! Use the power of the Full Moon (Blue Moon) in Pisces to boost your healing.
Are you looking for tools to enhance your emotional healing and improve your ability to manifest? Check out our 7-week “Emotional Healing and Chakra Balancing” class that begins October 2, 2012. For additional information visit our events page or contact our office for a private session.

New Moon in Leo August 2012

The New Moon in Leo on August 17, 2012 at 11:54am EDT (8:54am PDT) is a fertile field for setting new intentions. This is a particularly creative time with the moon and sun in Leo. It’s a time to be true to yourself, to live from your heart, and to display your individuality with pride.
When the Moon is new both the sun and moon energies are aligned in the same astrological sign, and a powerful portal is opened. It’s is a time of beginnings and endings. New Moons are a great time to set intentions for things you would like to create, develop, and cultivate. It’s a time of planting new seeds; whether seeds of reality or creative imagination, both the moon and the sun support your desires during a new moon.
This New Moon is supported by the fire sign of Leo. Leo brings with it confidence, ambition, loyalty, generosity, and encouragement. Leo rules the heart, and all manifesting stems from the heart. If your heart isn’t in it, then creating what you want is impossible. On the flip side, Leo can stir up drama. The Leo energy may also bring up your stubborn side or the need to dominate. Being aware of these characteristics will help you navigate through areas of yourself that need to be tended, weeding out what is unnecessary, and allowing positive attributes to grow.
Leo is ruled by the Sun. It’s time to let yourself shine. During this New Moon ideas and goals that have been percolating for a while may begin to take root and support may pop up like tiny sprouts bursting through the dirt.
Leo rules the 5th House – the House of Pleasure. It’s a great time to incorporate more leisure and recreational activities or just shift your perspective and see life through innocent childlike eyes. Perhaps one of your New Moon goals would be starting a new hobby that relieves stress such as taking a pottery class, painting, yoga, photography, or something that helps you express your creativity. Sometimes starting something new is a challenge, instead find pleasure with what already exists. Having a renewed perspective with gratitude opens different doors. As you allow yourself to relax, creativity, inspiration, intuition, and passion may be ignited, taking you closer to your dreams.

Full Moon in Aquarius – August 1 2012
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Affirmations, Empowerment, Full Moon, Inner Alchemy, Jana Matthews, Law of Attraction, Manifesting, New Moon Manifesting, Self Healing, Transformation
The Full Moon in Aquarius jump starts August and brings with it optimism and curiosity. The Full Moon officially occurs on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 10:27pm EDT (7:27pm PDT) and like every Full Moon brings a swell of emotions to the surface. Since this Full Moon is in Aquarius, an air sign, there may be more “thinking” about emotions than actually processing them.
The Full Moon phase marks the climax of the lunar cycle. With the Full Moon things reach their peak and emotions are intensified. Emotions are fluid, moving like liquid. With the additional gravitational pull the Full Moon has on the earth it illuminates any emotional issues, pain, and blocks that potentially stand between you and what you wish to manifest.
The polarity between the sun in Leo and the moon Aquarius are at work with this Full Moon. Leo symbolizes “the individual” and Aquarius symbolizes “the group.” The Full Moon in Aquarius brings a sense of belonging. There may be a strong desire to see how you fit into the world instead of feeling alone. The Aquarius Full Moon helps us get in touch with the group consciousness through friendships, associations, groups, alliances, and companionship. Are you interested in finding more like minded people? By asking your guides for assistance, you’ll be led to people who have similar beliefs. Find kindred spirits that support you. It will serve you well, helping you feel accepted for your similarities, and feelings of connectedness.
The Full Moon is a time to pay attention to your emotions. Aquarius may drum up unresolved issues related to high-school and learning how to adapt to society. It’s a great time to address the “angry teenager” within, realizing that you may not have been as awkward as you thought. It’s a tough time in life with extreme pressures of learning how to fit in. Emotions are racing, hormones are surging, and it’s a time of bridging the gap between being and child and growing into an adult. Forgive yourself, forgive others, and release the demons of the past.
The ego keeps you down by telling you all the things you’re doing wrong. But now is a good time to identify all the things you’re doing right. It’s easier to remember the bad stuff, so use a small notebook and write down what you are doing right. Then at moments when you want the ego wants to tear you down, take out the notebook and read all the good stuff you’re accomplishing. This exercise is proof to the ego that you are an amazing person. Your soul, guides and God want you to heal and it takes a conscious effort on your part to listen to the intuitive messages.

New Moon in Cancer 2012

The New Moon in Cancer occurs this week. The moon is our constantly changing companion. She effects are moods, and encourages us to take note of our emotions. Emotions are least influenced during the time of a New Moon and are heightened by a Full Moon. As the emotional filters are reduced during a New Moon, we see ourselves, our goals, and our path more clearly.
Each New Moon travels through a particular astrological sign which also influences us and our world. Learning to work with these energies helps navigate the ebb and flow of life. The New Moon in Cancer occurs on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 12:24am EDT (July 18, 2012 at 9:24pm PDT). Cancer is a water sign that is associated with the mother, fertility, family, and calls us back to heal our “roots.”
Cancer teaches us to embrace the Divine Feminine. During this lunar cycle you may be seeking comfort within your home, a desire to connect deeply with your mother, or looking a way to create a cozy environment. It’s a good time to heal external relationships related to the mother, as well as, embracing the Inner Mother, and nurturing yourself.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Cancer (the crab) often sidesteps deep emotional issues. Instead of avoiding emotions that are coming up use this introspective time to explore deep emotional wounds that desire your attention. These three steps are a guideline to resolving old emotional wounds:
1) Journal to clearly identify and express your emotions
2) Ask your Creator to remove the old emotions during meditation or yoga
3) Ask your Creator to replace the old emotions with the ones you want
During this lunar cycle you may also feel more attune to other people’s emotions and pick up the mood of the room, as Cancer has an empathic quality to it. Take a step back and sort through what you’re feeling to ensure the emotions are yours instead of those of others. All water signs present a time for healing deep emotional issues because emotions are fluid like water. As we release emotional wounds, manifesting becomes easier because the blocks between you and what you want are removed.
Each New Moon is a time of new beginnings, or revisiting existing goals. It’s a time of planting seeds of what you want to accomplish during the coming month. The time around the New Moon is less emotionally charged, allowing you to see more clearly the path to take. Take time to evaluate your goals and dreams. The New Moon in Cancer encourages introspection and creating a nurturing foundation that supports your growth.
