<p>The concept of network marketing is based upon this premise of building a customer base that repurchases the company&#8217;s products or enlisting other marketers and receiving an income stream from their marketing efforts.</p>
<p>Since network marketing has been around for a couple of decades, most people have personally been involved in this type of passive income stream; some being successful, some not. </p>

Tracking my calories burned during my <strong>exercise routine</strong> has helped me make better decisions when it comes choosing what I eat. If I have to burn the calories then I&#8217;m more selective about what I&#8217;m eating.</p>
<p>Putting the caloric intake into perspective with an exercise routine helps one make better decisions when it comes to choosing foods we eat. </p>
<p>For example if I eat:<br />
   Starbuck muffin &#8211; 420 calories (56 biking minutes for me)<br />
   Sbarro stuffed pizza &#8211; 976 calories (130 biking minutes for me)<br />
   P.F. Chang&#8217;s orange chicken &#8211; 1150 calories (153 biking minutes for me)</p>
<p>From these three meals the total daily caloric intake is 2,546 calories.</p>
<p>What to eat instead:<br />
  1 egg + 2 egg whites, 2 slices light bread, 1 veggie sausage patty (300 calories)<br />
  3 oz deli style turkey, 2 slices light bread, 1 cup tomato soup (350 calories)<br />
  4 oz grilled chicken, 1/2 cup brown rice, 1.5 cups veggies, 1/4 cup Thai sauce (450 calories)</p>
<p>From these three meals the total daily caloric intake is 1,100 calories. That&#8217;s a difference of 1,446 calories in a day!</p>
<p>Wow! What a difference it makes to <strong>know</strong> what you&#8217;re putting into your body! How often do you pop something into your mouth not even realizing how many calories are in it?</p>
<p>Being aware of what I eat and what I&#8217;m burning during exercise helps me manage the weight management process better. If you&#8217;re interested in managing your weight, begin tracking everything you&#8217;re eating so you can see what your caloric intake is, then you&#8217;ll be able to adjust your food selections so you&#8217;re <strong>managing</strong> your <strong>calories</strong>.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last week was crazy, and as a result my <strong>workout routine</strong> suffered. I&#8217;ve had a big project going on. But I&#8217;m so glad I&#8217;m tracking my workouts each day. </p>
<p>This is week 2, and I thought I was doing well working out every day. But this is more about just showing up to the gym.</p>
<p>I exercised all seven days this week. Wednesday when I input my stats into my spreadsheet I was shocked that I wasn&#8217;t going to hit my target of 3,150 calories burned. Here I believed I had worked hard with each workout.</p>
<p>In looking back at my workouts three of the days I had cut my workouts short for various reasons; thus reducing the calories burned and missing the target.</p>
<p>My total calories burned this week were 2,757, but my weight remained the same. I could have been very frustrated at my results had I avoided tracking them. But the truth is seeing my shortened workouts on paper is proof as to why nothing changed.</p>
<p>This week has been a good reminder that seeing the results on paper will help me stay on target with my workout routine and help me achieve my results.</p>

As of January 1st I decided to track the calories I&#8217;ve worked off each day so I can track my progress better.</p>
<p>Since I didn&#8217;t quite reach my goal of releasing a pound a week over the past six weeks I&#8217;ve increased the number of calories I&#8217;m burning off each week from 2,100 to 3,000; that&#8217;s about 425 calories per workout.</p>
<p>To track my progress I created an excel spreadsheet to log my workouts showing the distance, calories, and amount of time worked out for each day. </p>
<p>For example:</p>
<p>Bike 15.1 miles; 316 calories; 47 minutes<br />
Elliptical &#8211; 2.2 miles; 156 calories; 2.2 miles<br />
Total calories 472</p>
<p>After week one I burned 1,985 calories from the stationary bike and 729 calories from the elliptical machine, for a grand total of 2,714 calories. </p>
<p>As a part of my warmup/cooldown I walk laps before and after the machines usually totally around a mile per day. This week I logged 6.5 miles. I also do a 10 minute abdominal workout 5 days a week and yoga 2-3 times per week.  I don&#8217;t include the calories burned for these activities &#8211; it&#8217;s sort of the icing on the cake.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve still maintained taking out 300 calories per day, 2,100 calories per week, of my dietary intake. So between the calories burned and reduced caloric intake I&#8217;ve dropped 1.2 pounds this week. Whooo hooo! I finally reached my goal of a pound per week &#8211; at least for this week.</p>
<p>It would be awesome if the weight management really followed <strong><em>our</em></strong> plan. Some days/weeks are going to be good and right on track while others will not. The key is to do something that will help you work through the rough spots and keep you motivated. </p>
<p>Setting up a log of my workouts was just what I needed to track and see my progress.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A couple of days ago I noticed a rabbit in my backyard. The yard is fenced and we have about two to three feet of snow so I was little surprised to see him. </p>
<p>We have a small shed in the yard without a door where we keep garden tools and pots for the winter. The bunny has decided it&#8217;s a safe haven for the winter. He wiggles under the hoses to a back corner where he is safe from preditors &#8211; at least I hope he&#8217;s safe because we have a bobcat that jumps the fence from time to time.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a fun addition to our cold winters to see this little guy in the yard. Some days we see him, some days he stays curled up avoiding the bitter cold &#8211; yes, it does get damn cold here in the high Sierra mountains of California. It was 6 degrees this morning when I took the kids to school.</p>
<p>Finding food in the winter must be tough. I saw him nibble on pine boughs so in my nurturing moment I came up with a plan. We decided to save our &#8220;green&#8221; scraps to put outside for him or any other woodland creature that would like a nibble. </p>
<p>The menu the first day consisted of apple cores, carrot tops, and spring mix lettuce. It was a hit! He chowed it down. </p>
<p>One of my New Year&#8217;s goals is to eat better. What that basically means is that I eat a variety of fruits and veggies every day. This little guy has inspired me to buy more fruits and veggies. And as I eat better I will have a variety of scraps for the rabbit. It&#8217;s a win-win situation.</p>
<p>Whatever the reason for this little guy to wander into my yard, he has done me a great favor by inspiring me to eat better. How often do we discount the subtle messages we receive from our Creator to help us on our path and reach our goals. </p>
<p>Animals are always a great source of inspiration in my life, and I appreciate their presence and messages.</p>

<p>In November I went shopping for a new pair of pants. The ones in my closet felt a bit tight. I knew I had gained a <strong><em>few</em></strong> pounds. While trying on clothes I had to go up two sizes from what I have bought in the past. What?! You&#8217;ve got to be kidding me! This is ridiculous! When did this happen? They must be making clothes smaller these days, or so I justified.</p>
<p><a href="http://newmoonmanifesting.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Weight-loss.jpg"><img src="http://newmoonmanifesting.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Weight-loss.jpg" align=left alt="Weight loss - NewMoonManifesting.com" title="Weight loss" width="276" height="183" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1964" /></a>But no, the scale confirmed that I had gained 15 pounds over the past four years. My weight was teetering between my two pregnancy weights. Oh, this can&#8217;t be good &#8211; I&#8217;m NOT pregnant!</p>
<p>It&#8217;s just absurd that this could happen to me! I was an athletic instructor for 13 years. At the peak of my career my body fat was 10.2% which is extremely low, even for men. I was a lean exercise machine. I <strong><em>know</em></strong> how to maintain my body weight. </p>
<p>Although we have an elliptical machine and weights at home which I was using three to four times a week, it obviously wasn&#8217;t working for me. In November there was a little internal dialogue, okay a thrashing to make a change. And change I did. I joined the local recreational center to shake up my work-out a bit, with the added benefit of changing my body. </p>
<p>My New Year&#8217;s goal to turn my six rolls into a six pack by releasing 15 pounds of body fat through exercise and eating better began in November. So I got a jump start on many of you who are just beginning your new weight management goals. But whether you begin today, a week from now, or a month from now, whatever you consciously and consistently work towards will be successful.</p>
<p>So in November I began a new workout routine. My goal is to release 1 pound a week. Doesn&#8217;t seem like much, right? But actually a pound of fat is 3500 calories. To achieve this I had to adjust my calories by 700 per day &#8211; either burning off more or taking in less. </p>
<p>I chose a combination of reducing the calories I ate and burning more off per day.  To begin with I reduced my caloric intake by 250-300 per day and worked out 5 times per week at 250-300 calories per workout, for a change of 275&#215;7= 1925 for food and 5&#215;275 = 1375 for my workout, totalling 3300, just under the 3500 calories per week.</p>
<p>As my body was getting used to this new routine I gained 3 pounds. Yes, I know muscle weighs more that fat. But really, shouldn&#8217;t I be gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time? </p>
<p>For my mental sanity I decided to stay away from the scale for a while as my body was adjusting to the new routine. Five weeks into the new routine I began to notice my pants fit a bit better. So I stepped on the scale and it registered 6 pounds lighter than when I began.</p>
<p>Whoooo hooo! What a relief! For the last four years I have only seen the scale move in one direction. Now it was finally moving in the <strong><em>right</em></strong> direction! It really was working! Even during the holidays I was getting the results I wanted.</p>
<p>This week, begins my 8th week. During the Christmas break I gained two pounds back so my net effect is 4 pounds released. Although I haven&#8217;t reached my 1 pound per week goal yet, I&#8217;m so grateful for the four pounds that have left in 2010. </p>
<p>I&#8217;ve modified my original goal and have plans to shift my work-outs to permanently move the last 11 pounds out. </p>
<p>Every goal we set requires that we takes small steps to achieve it. For some reason, body fat seems to go on much easier than it takes to get it off. My original goals have changed since I began 8 weeks ago. Each couple of weeks I&#8217;ll adjust and shift work outs so my body is &#8220;surprised&#8221; by what it&#8217;s going through.</p>
<p>So whatever your weight management goals are for the year be patient with yourself. You can achieve it, but it takes time. It takes about three weeks for your body to adjust to the change. And in the 13 years I was an athletic instructor, week three is where most New Year&#8217;s resolutions were given up. People were frustrated because in that time frame they weren&#8217;t seeing results.</p>
<p>Making changes is about the transformation and journey instead of the destination.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most people have hang ups about money. They would rather talk about anything other than money. One of the number one questions I&#8217;m asked is about money. People fear it. </p>
<p>When people focus on the fear and scarcity of money they cannot attract more of it &#8211; they actually repel it and stop the flow of more coming to them. Our body can only hold one vibration at a time. If the vibe held is that of scarcity only a little will flow in; if the vibe is &#8220;enough to get by&#8221; then that amount flows in; if the vibe is one of &#8220;abundace&#8221; then the flow is continuous. To get what you want, you have to project what you <em><strong>do</strong></em> want. Your thoughts and feelings have to align with the goal in order to get it.</p>
<p>A small shift in your vibration manifests big results. We want to retrain your brain and body for abundance.</p>
<p>   1) Most people feel anxiety with the &#8220;word&#8221; money, so replace it with the words abundance or prosperity. With an emotional charge of anxiety or stress behind &#8220;money&#8221; plain and simple, you will not attract more. </p>
<p>    2) Stop saying or writing affirmations that you discount with your thoughts, beliefs, and feelings. If you say an affirmation such as &#8220;I am wealth&#8221; and the voice inside your head says, &#8220;Then why is my bank account empty,&#8221; then you&#8217;ve negated the higher frequencey vibe with a lower one of scarcity. The Universe doesn&#8217;t have a bank account, it supplies what we need when we need it.</p>
<p>   3) Celebrate your abundance. Each time you &#8220;receive&#8221; abundance celebrate at that moment. You find a dime on the ground, celebrate at that moment with gratitude. You have to buy something, when you get to the store you find it on sale &#8211; celebrate it. You park your car and find money still on the meter &#8211; celebrate. Someone pays for something unexpectedly &#8211; express gratitude to the Universe for supporting you. </p>
<p>   4) Gratitude &#8211; each time you pay your bills express gratitude instead of begruding the situation. We all have stuff we have to pay for &#8211; housing, utilities, food, clothes, cars, etc. You may spend every cent on your living expenses and have a choice to be gratful for the money to pay for them or begrudge the situation. Again, holding a higher vibe versus a lower one.</p>
<p>   5) Abundance journal &#8211; Our left brain wants to &#8220;see&#8221; that we are abundant. If it isn&#8217;t showing in the bank, create a journal to &#8220;show&#8221; your brain you are abundant. Each time you have an abundant moment whether it&#8217;s a penny or something more write it down in a notebook/journal. Within a few days your brain will see how you&#8217;re attracting abundance to you. &#8220;See I am abundant, look at what I&#8217;ve received this week!&#8221;</p>
<p>The more frequently you hold the vibration of abundance the more you&#8217;ll draw to you. Like attracts like. You&#8217;ll be a money magnet! Remember you can only hold one vibration at a time. The more often you celebrate and acknowledge your abundance the more you&#8217;ll attract to you. Do you choose scarcity or abundance?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Meditation isn&#8217;t only for Tibetan monks or spiritual gurus. Meditation is something everyone benefits from. We get so caught up in our busy lives and the busy voices in our head, we often forget or neglect to take time for ourselves to relax. Scientific study shows that calming the mind, soothing the emotions, relaxing the body, literally frees the soul. The mind, body, and environment benefit from daily meditation. </p>
<p>There are many benefits to quieting the mind. On a physical level, meditation helps release stress, reduces anxiety, and improves sleep patterns. It deceases to heart-rate and slows blood flow. It decreases muscle tension and headaches. Helps reduce chronic physical ailments, pre-menstrual symptoms, enhances post-operative healing, and enhances the immune system. It also boosts serotonin levels which influences our moods and behavior.</p>
<p>When you have a particular physical issue, as you begin meditation you can focus on energy being released from the area and infusing it with positive loving energy. This process can be done for yourself and others you want to help in their healing process. You can use affirmation such as &#8220;My body is healthy and strong,&#8221; &#8220;I have healed my physical body,&#8221; &#8220;My immune system is healthy.&#8221; </p>
<p>Meditation stimulates creativity and insight into solving problems. By setting the intention prior to meditation on providing new insight into resolving a specific problem, new information or alternative approaches to resolving it will come to light. It helps with the way we approach other people or enhances our approach to our work. You can add affirmations before your during your meditation such as &#8220;I easily resolve this problem,&#8221; or &#8220;I easily work with __________.&#8221;</p>
<p>Many people have learned the benefits of quieting the mind when used before a big meeting, sales presentation, interview, or audition. It provides focus and sets the intention of the desired result. Meditation is a powerful and simple way to improve the results in your life. Before an event you can slow your breathing and focus on the result you want by using affirmations such as &#8220;I present a powerful meeting,&#8221; &#8220;I confidently present my product/service and people purchase this from me,&#8221;  &#8220;I perform beautifully,&#8221; or &#8220;I get the part.&#8221;</p>
<p>The focus of meditation is to slow down the breathing and the brain activity. By quieting the mind, closing the eyes, and removing distractions, we reduce stimulation that distracts us from getting the results we really want.</p>

<p>You may say, &#8220;I am successful&#8230; or healthy&#8230; or whatever.&#8221; But your belief is &#8220;I am not successful&#8230; or healthy&#8230;. or whatever.&#8221; The belief overrides your wish to become your desire. Until the belief is changed to be aligned with the wish, failure is inevitable.</p>
<p>Changing a belief is possible. You must challenge every belief that is used to judge yourself, reject yourself, and make yourself small. Whenever the voices in your head put you down, stop them! This breaks the chains that bind your progress, releases the limitations that hold you back from greater love, more success, peace, happiness, and joy!</p>
<p>You are worthy and deserve to receive everything you want. Squash the beliefs that are hindering your success.</p>
