New Moon in Virgo 2010

The new moon is a time to of rebirth, planting new seeds, developing new actions, germinating new thoughts, and manifesting what you want. We’ve just ended the playful, creative, self-promoting emphasis of the Leo lunar cycle and are now moving into the quieter more introspective energy of Virgo. Virgo’s mission is to help us know ourselves. Its emphasis is on practical aspects, work, patience, and purification; placing your attention of technique, methodology, and the process of transformation.
The new lunar cycle begins on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 6:30am EDT (3:30am PDT). The moon during this cycle will be closer to the earth causing the electromagnetic pull of this moon to be stronger than usual. The moon is responsible for our emotional state and with the closer proximity of the moon to the earth emotions that have been buried will be surfacing. Your world may shake as your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs are coming up creating a space for a new foundation based in truth and love. Be patient and kind with yourself and allow the time you need to look at your stuff and bid it farewell.

To prepare for the manifesting, write down a list of goals or intentions you want to attract or issues you want to release during the lunar cycle. After the cycle is over, review your old list crossing off goals achieved and file it, then begin a new list for the new cycle. To maintain balance in your life, look at goals on several different levels including financial, spiritual, mental, emotional, and physically.
