Pluto Shifts

Are you feeling the effects of Pluto yet? Even though it is no longer considered a planet, it still has an energetic effect upon us. Pluto’s subtle shift may not be immediately evident, but in the coming months suppressed feelings, secrets, and unexpressed desires are likely to surface.

Friday morning I woke up feeling an overwhelming emotional intensity. I wasn’t really sure where it was coming from. While investigating the astrological energy of September 11th, I read about Pluto and it all made sense.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been doing some deep emotional releasing. I’ve been releasing original wounding for this or any other lifetime related to abandonment, abuse, betrayal, denial, and rejection. Also, I’ve been healing and activating the energy of the 8th chakra, the Soul Star, which houses the soul and holds karmic residue from other lifetimes. That’s a whole heap of stuff to move out since our energy is infinite.

When initiating such deep emotional releasing, I never know what to expect. Many times the wounding comes and goes without an understanding of the source of emotional drama or attachment to the pain. But this time the release has been intense. I’m not feeling the actual emotional distress I’m feeling a deep sense of injustice, not only for myself but on a collective consciousness level. My heart hurts for all injustices that have occurred in our world for centuries and centuries. And although we believe we have evolved so much, there are still so many that suffer from injustices today. It is sometimes difficult to truly believe in a higher power when we experience, see, or hear of unfairness.

After expressing my feelings and emotions in my journal, I asked my guides, Mother Mary, and Archangel Rafael to heal this wave of emotion and sense of injustice for myself and others. Even if the injustice isn’t directly related to me, seeing or hearing about it causes grief. How long have I been housing it? Only Divine Source knows the answer to that one. What a relief to feel and release this burden. Although difficult to face, I’m deeply grateful that it has come up and on its way out!

Are you ready to release suppressed feelings, secrets, and unexpressed desires? With Pluto’s help, it’s a perfect time to “let go” and lighten your load.

Back to Basics: Virus Protection Without the Shot

The media’s recent publicity of the estimated deaths in the US from the H1N1 flu virus this year was staggering. Their hype is spawning fear, and fear breeds panic. The US Center for Disease Control suggests “the estimates to be high and should be regarded with caution.”

Because of the hype and fear, people may receive unnecessary immunizations causing their immune system more harm than protection. In our family we haven’t ever received flu immunizations, and we have avoided being sick; yet even my eleven year old daughter bought into the fear, asking if she could get immunized. People want to be proactive; but are unaware there are other choices than immunizations to protect themselves from viruses and choices other than antibiotics to heal from them.

Each day we are exposed to many different germs. With kids back in school, germs are easily spread. Often times a person is most contagious before they realize they are sick. The body has an amazing defense system. And it’s easy to maintain a healthy body once it’s given thoughtful attention.

People often take better care of their car than their physical body; expecting the body to perform perfectly without quality fuels and tune-ups. Although there is no instruction manual for the body, there are some basic steps that help maintain optimal performance. The body has physical, mental, and emotional requirements that need to be met to work well. When the needs are not met, it is more prone to dis-ease.

Our physical needs include food, water, and rest. Eating foods bathed in sunlight, such as fruits and vegetables, provides necessary vitamins and minerals to the body. Eating anti-oxidant rich foods such as berries helps break down free radicals in the body, preventing cellular damage. Also, the body is over 70% water. Our body needs water for all of its processes and functions. A good rule of thumb to determine your personal water needs is to divide your body weight by two. This is the number of ounces of water you need daily to support your body. Finally, the body needs sleep as a mental and physical down-time to rejuvenate.

Our health is also dependent upon our emotional and mental fitness. Although the physical body appears to be a solid mass, it is made up of different forms of energy, an electromagnetic organism. It constantly fires off messages both automatically and through our thoughts and beliefs. For example, if you think or believe you typically get sick during seasonal transitions or once during the winter, then you’re sending out an energetic message, e-mail, into the universe. The Law of Attraction matches the vibration of the message by returning a message to support the thought or belief. The universe basically acts as a mirror, simply reflecting back what a person is projecting. It can’t distinguish between what is actually projected and what a person thinks they are projecting. Changing a pattern requires a change in the thoughts and/or beliefs being projected.

Practicing mental or verbal affirmations such as, “I am healthy and strong,” “I love myself,” “I respect myself,” continuously feeds the subconscious mind with healthy thoughts and shifts the messages being projected into the cosmos. The universe responds by returning messages that you are healthy and strong, loved, and respected. Self-love is an instrumental tool in building the immune system. Imagine for a moment that every cell in your body is oozing with “love.” With this sort of ammunition, viruses and bacteria don’t stand a chance of affecting you.

Another way to improve mental and emotional health is by quieting the mind and body through meditation. Although it is usually recognized as a spiritual practice, there are also many health benefits to simply breathing deeply for 5-10 minutes a day; it reduces stress and anxiety, diminishes muscle tension, strengthens blood flow, enhances healing capacity, boosts the immune system, improves concentration, along with many other benefits.

The physical body has a tremendous capacity to heal itself. Incorporating healthy habits to support its physical needs coupled with practicing habits to support its mental and emotional needs, provides a strong foundation for a healthy mind, body, and soul and its natural ability to defend against viruses and bacteria.
