New Moon in Cancer

This lunation comes on the heels of the Summer Soltice. Both the sun and moon in Cancer, sign of the Great Mother, urge us to birth a new aspect of ourselves. As we welcome a new season, we gain fresh awareness about our emotions, intuition, and creative power.
Pluto arrives only two days after the solstice. Security-conscious Cancer makes us aware of our needs and fears and Pluto intensifies those emotions. Power struggles personally, profesionally and in the political arena can undermine trust and overthrow governments and relationships.
If something surfaces for you, know that it’s on its way out. Discipline and focus will keep you from believing old fears and reliving old wounds. Re-commit to your determination to raise yourself above the old, low frequency patterns and belief systems. Get some perspective through your support system and be determined to go through it to the other side rather than getting stuck in resistance. Enjoy being in nature and it healing benefits.

To prepare for the manifesting, write down a list of goals or intentions you want to attract or issues you want to release during the lunar cycle. After the cycle is over, review your old list crossing off goals achieved and file it, then begin a new list for the new cycle. To maintain balance in your life, look at goals on several different levels including financial, spiritual, mental, emotional, and physically.
