New Moon in Aquarius

A friend sent me this message from a shaman group that has this advice about the new moon.
“The new moon is accompanied by a partial solar eclipse that will be book-ended by a more powerful lunar eclipse with the full moon on February 9th. Think of this new moon as entering a 2 week time frame within which you can make really deep changes to how you perceive your personal power and ability to create your life. The time in between the 2 eclipses will activate a certain pressure to look at your wounding, to look at your imprinting, both familial and cultural, and to actively decide how you want to be and live differently. This time is calling on everyone to set up and be proactive. So pay attention to what comes up and face challenges with flexibility, patience and resourcefulness. Face opportunities with courage and inspiration.
It is crucial to move yourself out of any victim position your ego tries to put you in. This is the best opportunity to be inspired, take a risk, make a choice, and to do something or plan to do something you have never done before. Remember to put yourself first. Take a break and celebrate life.”
Wow, what a powerful and transformational message. As you work towards your goals this cycle, become an observer of events that take place. You’ve asked for change and the universe is providing it. It may not show up in the package you expect. So instead of emotionally reacting to a situation or shutting down an idea in fear – take a step back and observe the situation and the realm of possibilities that exist.
Remember – the minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for.
You deserve the best, and the universe ready to deliver it to you; settle for nothing less.
Change your mind, change your results

George Bernard Shaw said,
“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
It sounds so simple – change our minds and change our results.
Our thoughts are such a powerful part of the transformation process. It’s easy to set goals and intentions, yet the voices inside our heads are listing all the reasons it won’t or can’t happen. In essence our thoughts become our worst enemies.
Each day there are thousands of thoughts that cross our minds. How many of those are really conscious? Often times the thoughts in our heads are the voices of our parents, siblings, friends, boss, co-workers or others – not our own. To break free from this pattern, we have to become aware of the dialogue in our head and ask, “Is this helping or hindering my ability to achieve my goals?”
When we were children, our subconscious was shaped by our family and friends. Kids are just like sponges, soaking everything up, whether it true or false. They simply accept what others tell them as being the truth. So all the programming we received as a child is typically the programming running the subconscious today.
We now have the ability to change the programming and consciously choose our thoughts. One of the most powerful ways to help change our thoughts is to practice affirmations. Affirmations are an effective tool to help reprogram any incorrect thoughts or beliefs; sort of like rewriting a computer program. You can easily stop any thought by saying “No, that isn’t what I believe” and then to use a different thought or affirmation to shift your perspective to what you really want. Think about it: If a program isn’t functioning correctly, then the results will be incorrect. If your thoughts are incorrect, then so your results. Now it’s your choice to hold onto thoughts that move you closer to your goals or ones that hold you back from what you really want.
It takes practice, practice, practice and conscious effort to squish any sabatoging thoughts and replace them with new ones. Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” And isn’t that what you are trying to do – get different results? The best place to begin the transformation is in your mind.
New Year’s Resolutions???
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting
Here we are at the beginning of another New Year. The New Year for many is a chance to set new goals and intentions in hopes that somehow something will be different this year. The resolutions might last for a few weeks, but often times the same old patterns creep back in and take over.
Just before the New Year began I was thinking about the time I was an athletic instructor and of all the new people who would show up the first week of the New Year. Then within a few weeks they would give up. Another failed attempt at making a change.
So I was thinking, “What can I do this year to help people stay on track with their goals?” I decided to break down my goals into more sizeable chuncks by setting them for each new moon cycle (about 4 weeks). I’d heard that creating your intentions and goals around the new cycle helps manifest them. It can’t hurt, right? My friend was very excited about this idea and she asked me to send her an email describing the process. Later that night it hit me. I really needed to set this system up for all my friends, clients and anyone else interested (it’s FREE).
Currently, we hold manifesting/meditation sessions in our home every Tuesday night. We have had amazing successes from this group. However, many of my friends and clients live outside the Tahoe area. So how could I include them in this process? And the idea New Moon Manifesting was born.
Through a conference line or blog talk radio (only scheduled 30 days in advance), we can hold a tele-conference or online class each new moon. A couple of days prior to the new moon, participants write out their goals and intentions for the new lunar cycle. Then at a designated time we participate in a conference call or blog talk radio. During this session I will provide insight, ideas, affirmations and a group guided imagery meditation to set the intentions for the cycle. By breaking this into monthly cycles, it makes the process easier then biting off the entire New Year’s chunk.
Staying focused on goals and intentions can be challenging. Sometimes we fall off track and beat ourselves up for being weak, lazy, or uncommitted. But beating ourselves up just contributes to holding us back from attracting everything we really want.
I believe the possibilities in life are limitless. Really make a commitment to yourself this year to achieve and attract everything you want. To join us, register here. You will receive a confirmation email and an email with the conference line phone number and access code. Then a couple of days prior to the next new moon, we will send out an email reminder for the next session so you can review the last cycle’s goals and prepare for the next cycle. What a great way to stay on track with your goals – and it’s FREE!
