New Moon in Leo 2010
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting
This is your time to shine and remember your purpose! What do you really want? How do you want to be? As we move into the new moon, on August 9, 2010 at 11:08pm ET, it’s time to set or renew your intentions.
During to this lunar cycle, pay attention to pressure points. You may feel like you’re on the brink of breaking, but this pressure is helping you “break through” patterns. Use meditation, breathing, or visualization exercises each day to “breath out the old” and “breath in the new.” This process may bring stuff up, but at least the energy is moving.
The New Moon in the Sun sign of Leo reminds us to be creative. Be playful with the process – like a child; see the world with a renewed sense of awe, simplicity, and joyfulness. Set beautiful intentions for yourself and let go of your attachments to the outcome.
Join us for a FREE conference call Monday, August 9, 2010 at 8pm EST (5pm PT) 641.715.3200 access code 867778#. During the live call you’ll receive inspiration for the upcoming new moon, time to share your intentions, and a guided imagery meditation to invoke your subconscious into the mix. Group meditation is a powerful way to amplify your intentions.
Have a beautiful and blessed New Moon! And manifest miracles!

The Prayer of the Children
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting
This beautiful song by Kurt Bestor is a reminder of the cries from children everywhere for us to create more peace in this world.
Can you hear the cries of the children asking for “help” to feel peace?
Peace begins within. What have you done today to create more peace in your life? Find a way everyday, even if only for a moment to feel peace.
Have you asked for help to “feel the love again?”
Ask! Ask! Ask! Ask now!
The children of the world need each of us to make an effort to add more peace to our world. Can you do that?

The Climb
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting
Messages from Spirit come in many forms: movies, books, songs, strangers making a comment. I love the message in the lyrics of Miley Cyrus’s song “The Climb”. A message for all of us that the journey is more important than the destination.
The Climb
I can almost see it
That dream I’m dreaming
But there’s a voice inside my head saying
“You’ll never reach it”
Every step I’m taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking
But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high
There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna want to make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
The struggles I’m facing
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I’m not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I’m gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going
And, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
‘Cause, there’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna want to make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
Ain’t how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb!
Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It’s all about, it’s all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, yeah!
Questions to Ponder:
Do your dreams get squashed because of the voice in your head?
Do you focus on the journey or only the destination?
Do you lose faith when you hit obstacles?

Simple Prayer
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, let me sow pardon.
Where there is friction, let me sow union.
Where there is error, let me sow truth.
Where there is doubt, let me sow faith.
Where there is despair, let me sow hope.
Where there is darkness, let me sow light.
Where there is sadness, let me sow joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Full Moon in Aquarius
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting, Transformation
The full moon on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 9:38pm EDT is a time for breakthrough moments. Prepare yourself for surprises and be ready to respond and adapt quickly to new situations.
Open your heart during this time and allow feelings to flow. Wash your heart free from old emotional wounds making room for expansion and growth. You may be surprised how your heart awakens when the old stuff is removed.
You are the director of your life, with the capacity to change the characters, scene, and outcome of your production. By letting go of the past and embracing your strength and ability, you have the power to create a masterpiece!
Open your heart to the magical possibilities that surround you at this time!

Beliefs
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Healthy, Wealthy & Wise Tips, Manifesting, Transformation
We humans are powerful because we have strong faith. Where is that faith vested? Our faith supports “our story” and what we believe about ourselves. This is why change cannot happen by “wishing” for it. Our beliefs are strong.
You may say, “I am successful… or healthy… or whatever.” But your belief is “I am not successful… or healthy…. or whatever.” The belief overrides your wish to become your desire. Until the belief is changed to be aligned with the wish, failure is inevitable.
Changing a belief is possible. You must challenge every belief that is used to judge yourself, reject yourself, and make yourself small. Whenever the voices in your head put you down, stop them! This breaks the chains that bind your progress, releases the limitations that hold you back from greater love, more success, peace, happiness, and joy!
You are worthy and deserve to receive everything you want. Squash the beliefs that are hindering your success.

There’s a Hole in My Sidewalk by Portia Nelson
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting, Transformation
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost …. I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend that I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in this same place.
But, it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in … it’s a habit … but, my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
I walk down another street.
We are habitual creatures, often following the same patterns. Several great philosophers have said, “Insanity is doing the same thing expecting different results.” We all face challenges in life, often feeling stuck, or feeling uncomfortable with options. But, approaching these challenges from the state of mind that created them only causes frustration. Growth and transition occurs when we “think outside the box,” brainstorming new ideas and consciously open to many possibilities. Fear of “walking down another street” is often the culprit to stuffing us back into the old pattern’s box. And only you can choose to walk down another path or continue with the familiar one.
There are simple solutions to the challenges we face, we humans tend to complicate them thinking, “The simple solution must not be the right one.” What would happen if you picked the simplist solution to every situation you face?

The Alchemy of Relationship (excerpt)
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting
“Most of us will do almost anything to avoid psychological heat. When we get uncomfortable, many of us get the hell out of Dodge. Now for some of us this means literally packing up and getting out of town, or at least out of sight. For some of us it means that we are physically present, but no longer emotionally present. We numb up. We become automatons. We move and talk, almost like normal, but we have retreated far, far inside. Others of us numb ourselves with alcohol or drugs. And some of us do it with television. We humans are, after all, quite clever and creative. We can find all sorts of ways to avoid facing ourselves. In fact, they are far too numerous for me to list here. But I suspect you get the idea. I guess the real question here is this–what do you do when things get psychologically too hot for your taste? What do you do when you are on the verge of feeling something that you don’t want to feel?”

Making Sense
Posted by Jana Groscost Matthews | Filed under Manifesting, Transformation
“What you call thinking is the voice of knowledge making up stories, telling you what you know, and trying to make sense out of everything you don’t know. The problem is that the voice makes you do many things that go against yourself.”
“The solution to taming the liar in your head is to stop believing what it tells you. If you follow two rules – stop believing yourself, and stop believing anybody else – all of the lies you believe won’t survive your skeptism and will simply disappear.”
